From time-to-time other organisations, usually Christian, which are involved in the running of residential homes, contact us for help or advice. Given the increasingly cumbersome legislation being applied to residential homes, it is becoming more and more difficult for small, independent operations to remain viable. In situations like this, Keychange Charity is more than happy to help.
We can offer:

Advice on current legislation
Help with staff recruitment and training
Support with day-to-day management of the home
In some cases, Keychange will consider assuming responsibility for the home.

Fair Havens, our home in Southampton, was formerly an independent Christian home for the elderly. Ted Ball was one of the original founding Trustees, setting up Fair Havens in the first place and then overseeing the transition to Keychange 25 years later. He is now a Keychange Trustee: "I can speak for all the former Directors when I say that we feel the move has been the right one. We feel confident that the dedicated commitment and the experience of the Keychange staff together with the back up of an able Board, all of whom are committed Christians, puts Fair Havens on a much sounder footing for the future than could have been achieved by remaining as an independent Charity."
