If you like people and have some spare time, you have the two most important qualities we are looking for. Here are some ways you can help:
This is not a soft option – commitment and personal involvement are never simple. But the rewards are tremendous as you see people and projects grow. We need volunteers to help with anything from polishing to playing games – often the most important thing you can do is simply to chat to the residents.
As an individual, or with a group of friends you could organise a fundraising event. The possibilities are endless, and every penny you raise will be used to help people in need.
Prayer is the foundation of our work and our Prayer Partners play a crucial part in the activities of Keychange. We send out a Newsletter (Contact) twice a year which includes a Prayer Focus section, to give you some guidance about specific areas where prayer could be targeted.
We currently have a Board of nine trustees, a full-time Chief Executive, a senior management team and support team at Head Office in central London. Our projects around the country are run by 400 staff, and we have an annual turnover of over £7m.
To fulfil our succession planning, new Trustees are sought to join the Board of the Charity. We are specifically looking for practising evangelical Christians who ideally have medical knowledge – preferably in current or recent practice – finance and accounting, and knowledge of the charitable sector along with the ability to work effectively in a committed and dedicated Board.
You must be someone who recognises and fulfils your responsibilities and are able to practice good governance. It is important that you are someone who has strategic insight to be able to see the bigger picture, keeping the aims and objectives of the charity in mind at all times. We consider the following skills and abilities are essential for carrying out the duties and responsibilities of Keychange Charity trusteeship:
In return, you will be working with a friendly group of people who believe in what they do, will respect your opinion and value your contribution.
If you feel you are ready to commit some of your time and experience to helping us, we would love to hear from you. This is a voluntary position but all reasonable expenses are paid.
If you wish to apply by means of a covering letter and CV detailing your skills and experience, or have further questions, please contact Rosh Milner on firstname.lastname@example.org
