The effects of homelessness can be devastating. All too often, being without a home can destroy the hope and expectation which are vital to any kind of personal wholeness or development.

For women, homelessness brings prejudice and humiliation. Living rough involves extreme deprivation, exposure and stress. Emergency shelters can be grim places where drugs, alcohol and violence are rife. These girls and young women are in desperate need of a shelter from the storms of life.

At Keychange we offer them a room of their own in a secure place free from drugs, alcohol and the threat of attack or abuse: space to restore their dignity, confidence and self-worth. Our staff members are dedicated to helping them to start again. We give them a warm and welcoming environment where they can get back on their feet, learn new skills and develop into independent, stable individuals.
