Sylwia,
I know it is an extremely challenging and stressful time … at Alexander House. I just wanted to thank you and all your staff for the care you provide … (We) are extremely appreciative of the dedication you and the team of staff have to provide a high quality of care and a ‘home’ for all of the residents. As we all struggle in these strange times, this email is a simple ‘Thank you’. We know you are all doing everything you can to keep the residents safe.
Review: Amazing standard of care for residents at Alexander House. As an outsider visiting on Christmas Day to photograph the care home, I was very humbled by the wonderful atmosphere and how cared for the happy residents were.
For the Team at Alexander House,
No words can truly express our thanks for the way in which you cared for Aunty P… We want you to know how much we appreciated everything you did – from the wonderful entertainers and garden parties … right down to the manicures … She was always so delighted when her nails were beautifully painted, especially in that soft pink shade…
It was always so reassuring to know that when none of us was there, that she was safe and being cared for by such a wonderful team of people … the kitchen staff who made the beautiful birthday cakes … the laundry staff who always made sure she looked her best and the carers who always strived so hard to meet her needs.
You became like an extended family to both her and to all of us. Thank you so much … for all the affection that you showed her and for the wonderful last years that you gave her.
Thank you so much for everything you did for R to make his last 9 months of his life with you fulfilling and enjoyable. We can’t thank you enough.
Dear All,
We wanted to say a huge thank you for making Mum’s life at Alexander House such a lovely experience. You treated Mum with real care and compassion, and all make Alexander House such a happy place for both residents and relatives. We will really miss our visits!
To all at Alexander House – THANK YOU so much for the care that you gave my lovely Grandad … Mum said that the care he received was exceptional … I am so grateful to know that he was treated so well and cared for in the best possible way.
To: Care Quality Commission,
Dear Sirs,
I would like to draw your attention to what I consider to be an outstanding residential care home, Alexander House …one that I would say should be used as a model for future planning.
My Father … stayed there for the last 9 months of his life. It was chosen principally, because the immediate impression we got when we first visited, was one of a large country house, where people stayed, not that of an institution where people were “placed”.
We visited frequently and at random, because of work commitments, and unlike his previous care home, where chaos seemed to be the norm, calmness, warmth and un-hurriedness seemed to always prevail.
During one visit, we were actually invited to join a monthly management and residents’ discussion forum on how improvements could be made, even though we had brought a three year old grand-daughter to visit my Father.
My Father … was happy in Alexander House, and was provided with a level of care that could not be improved upon. Please take note.
Thank you all for caring for my Mother over the last few weeks. She has thoroughly enjoyed her days with you and has been telling friends and family how friendly you all are.
