“I just wanted to email and thank you and your staff for the wonderful care you gave my Grandad, whilst he was living with you.
Your staff made him feel so welcome and cared for, and when he arrived back at Fair Havens after a brief hospital visit he said it was “so good to be back home”. This small statement meant so much to me as it confirmed he really was happy with you.”
“I was apprehensive about bringing my children for regular visits to a care home, but I had nothing to worry about. Your staff always made them feel very welcome, often offering biscuits and drinks, and offering the green room so they could feel more relaxed and play.”
“On every single visit to Fair Havens it smelt clean and fresh, the place was immaculate, and every member of staff (yourself, the care workers, the cleaner, the handyman) were all friendly and welcoming.”
“The thing that charmed me the most was how much your staff genuinely care about the residents. During a visit early on I saw a staff member was spoon feeding a lady resident in the dining area and another staff member came and stood briefly behind the resident while she discussed something with her colleague. The 30 seconds or so she was stood there she had her hand on the lady resident’s shoulder and was stroking her ponytail. It was exactly the sort of absent-minded affectionate thing I would do to my own daughter. But the fact that your staff manage to show this level of affection and kindness to the residents is so impressive and something you should be really proud of.”
“I witnessed so many acts of kindness, so many shoulder pats, arm rubs, little cuddles, for Grandad as well as others, and I know it’s easy for your staff to think all that extra effort goes unnoticed but it was noticed by me and my family. Every time someone comforted Grandad in the night time, every time they noted the football score in order to chat with him, it was so appreciated.”
“Grandad enjoyed his time at Fair Havens, he was very fond of the staff, and always told us how much he appreciated their help. You made it so easy for us to trust Grandad’s care to you and I will always be grateful to you.”
To Tracey, Helen and the team at Fair Havens,
I just wanted to say a huge “thank you” to each and every one of you for the care and kindness you gave Mum in the 2 years she spent with you. You looked after her in the most difficult time of her life and I am just so grateful she was surrounded by such lovely and caring people.
The support you gave me as well is much appreciated.
To all the wonderful staff at Fair Havens:
Just wanted to say a big thank you to you all for looking after Mum so well over the past months and especially the care you showed in her last days. As a family we have been so grateful to know Mum was in a fantastic care home. Thank you for going above and beyond.
I wanted to write to thank you for all your patience and kindness shown both to A. and to myself … I thank God for you all. I wanted to commend your staff – they are always cheerful, friendly and polite, whether in person or on the phone, and I’m sure you are very proud of them. Please pass on my thanks to them.
I as Manager and Helen as Deputy are so proud of our team. Their tenacity and dedication (to the resident) was above and beyond when many would have given up.
THANK YOU TO OUR TEAM – sometimes we don’t say this enough.
Tracey Halley, Manager at Fair Havens
