Dear Tracey and all the team,
It was such a joy to visit yesterday, and to see E. looking so well and happy. Thank you for all you’ve done and continue to do, through such challenging times.
As we are about to do our 8 pm clap … we are thinking of you at Fair Havens looking after the old folk and trying to keep them and yourselves safe. We pray for you all. We are fine, and we are all so grateful for the care you gave my Dad. Keep up the good work.
To Tracey and All the Staff at Fair Havens,
Just a quick note to tell you how much we, the family, appreciated all the effort you went to to make Mum’s 100th Birthday special. We were particularly glad to see that Mum’s hair had been dressed. Please thank whoever did it; it always makes you feel good when your hair looks good. Such a treat.
Once again, thanks for making such an effort for Mum.
“I just wanted to email and thank you and your staff for the wonderful care you gave my Grandad, whilst he was living with you.
Your staff made him feel so welcome and cared for, and when he arrived back at Fair Havens after a brief hospital visit he said it was “so good to be back home”. This small statement meant so much to me as it confirmed he really was happy with you.”
“I was apprehensive about bringing my children for regular visits to a care home, but I had nothing to worry about. Your staff always made them feel very welcome, often offering biscuits and drinks, and offering the green room so they could feel more relaxed and play.”
“On every single visit to Fair Havens it smelt clean and fresh, the place was immaculate, and every member of staff (yourself, the care workers, the cleaner, the handyman) were all friendly and welcoming.”
“The thing that charmed me the most was how much your staff genuinely care about the residents. During a visit early on I saw a staff member was spoon feeding a lady resident in the dining area and another staff member came and stood briefly behind the resident while she discussed something with her colleague. The 30 seconds or so she was stood there she had her hand on the lady resident’s shoulder and was stroking her ponytail. It was exactly the sort of absent-minded affectionate thing I would do to my own daughter. But the fact that your staff manage to show this level of affection and kindness to the residents is so impressive and something you should be really proud of.”
“I witnessed so many acts of kindness, so many shoulder pats, arm rubs, little cuddles, for Grandad as well as others, and I know it’s easy for your staff to think all that extra effort goes unnoticed but it was noticed by me and my family. Every time someone comforted Grandad in the night time, every time they noted the football score in order to chat with him, it was so appreciated.”
“Grandad enjoyed his time at Fair Havens, he was very fond of the staff, and always told us how much he appreciated their help. You made it so easy for us to trust Grandad’s care to you and I will always be grateful to you.”
