Review: Excellent care home. Staff are kind and attentive. The home is cosy and clean with a homely atmosphere. Residents are very well looked after. I have no concerns over the quality of care the residents receive. Would recommend.

Overdale Christian Retirement Home has provided excellent care for my mother who is 96 and suffering from dementia. She found it hard at first to move from her long-term home … but the carers made her very welcome and she is now much more settled. She enjoys the food and is beginning to make friends with other residents.
Overdale is a warm and friendly home with exemplary staff. Their compassion and care for the residents is second to none. My friend (and previously my late mother) is contented and happy. The en-suite rooms and bathrooms are immaculate and the sitting rooms and dining rooms make it ‘home from home’ with good nutritious and varied menus. I cannot praise Overdale highly enough.
Staff from domestic to management are kind and caring, always smiles. Overdale is a small but wonderful residential home. I feel it has exactly the right atmosphere. Mum is happy there and I’m happy at the excellent standards throughout the home.
Our Mother stayed at Overdale for respite care after being in hospital.
The room was very sunny, lovely big window.
There was a large window which overlooked the lovely gardens.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
There was a hairdresser and a chiropodist visiting regularly.
The food was very nice and very varied.
Everywhere was clean and it had a pleasant smell.
We would highly recommend for a long or a short stay.
Overdale feels like a home from the minute you arrive. The staff are friendly and caring, my mum can be challenging at times but is always dealt with in an understanding way.
Her room is always clean and staff are available at all times to keep the room clean and comfortable.
The lounges are not just ‘for show’ and are busy and homely. I visit other homes to see friends and relatives and none of them feel the same as Overdale.
It feels like home and that is what I want for my mother.
I am very happy here, time has flown in the 2 years I have lived here, I have made lots of new friends, staff are friendly and kind. A.W.
Overdale Christian Retirement Home has a very caring culture and all the staff are kind and helpful. The home is also maintained to a very high standard of cleanliness. Mum has lived at Overdale for over two years and throughout all that time she has been well cared for and she was kept safe during the Pandemic. We are certain we made the right decision in choosing Overdale.
