Dear Rose Lawn Staff,
I’m writing this small tribute to every single one of you and purposefully not mentioning anyone in particular since it takes an entire team to develop the wonderful caring atmosphere that pervades Rose Lawn.
When I entrusted my very weak and despondent cousin into your care in Sept 2020, all I wanted at that desperate time was to allow her care with dignity in what I presumed were her last couple of weeks …
Well, those ‘final weeks’ … turned into about 13 months, and during that time my cousin was transformed in both health and spirit … She was suddenly more cheerful and developed very close relationships with the loving carers who surrounded her. I witnessed the most loving actions by those special carers who were close to her in her last hours. To you, I remain so very grateful, and sense that her passing will take its toll on you too. All I can do is exhort you to continue your wonderful work and know that it is deeply appreciated by your residents and their families.
We do appreciate the care and attention you all gave my lovely Mum, and she was very happy living in Rose Lawn, with you. It is a very happy Care Home, and we are extremely grateful to you all.

… How grateful I am and always will be for how you cared for my Mum … Your kindness and open-minded support to let me have those visits with Mum was so precious for us and I am forever grateful.
We, as a family are indebted to you, Rose Lawn and Keychange Charity for accommodating and caring for Dad throughout Covid. I do not believe either he or Mum would have coped with being separated for such a time but through your compassion at a very difficult time this was not an issue … Truly you have all supported both Mum and Dad and the rest of your residents throughout this pandemic and it is a credit to all your staff team that they have come through it … Once again our grateful thanks and we wish you, the staff and residents all the best for the future.

A great big thank you for making my Mother’s 100th birthday special. The tea was beautifully prepared; the cake was magnificent to look at and delicious to taste!

I just can’t praise you enough for the wonderful care and attention you gave to my Mother, especially in the last few weeks of her life. We knew, as she was with you, that she would be receiving the best care possible. She was so happy in Rose Lawn, and always used to say “You couldn’t have found a nicer care home for me.” Thank you to you all from her family … We all enjoyed visiting your wonderful care home. Everyone was always happy and smiling, creating a lovely, homely atmosphere. It is an outstanding example of how a care home should be … Well done, all of you; it has been a pleasure to be able to visit Mum whilst she was in your care … Many many thanks for making Mum’s last few years of her life so pleasurable. – February 2021
Thank you for running such a kind, caring home. You are all so patient and good, and the happy atmosphere is a testament to this. It is always a pleasure to visit Rose Lawn – the staff are so welcoming, the residents are happy, it is like one big cosy home. Mum is always saying “You couldn’t have found a better place for me than here.” We all agree. The kitchen staff are brilliant and provide delicious tempting food, and extra cups of tea and coffee when needed. All in all, we think Rose Lawn Care Home is perfect.
