I was always backing M to remain in her own home for as long as possible and … I almost felt guilty for aiding her independence in order to delay the ‘evil’ day. How wrong was I? … I really do mean thanks to everyone who works to make it such a lovely home … It was so moving and impressive to realise that you don’t just care for her, you all seem to genuinely care about her. I felt so much better about her being in your care and really feel that she couldn’t be in a better place.

I would love to wish you all a merry Christmas and I DO, but I’m very aware that your care is 24/7 so I’m not sure if you get the chance to have one.

THANK YOU ALL, FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK AND ALL THE PERSONAL SACRIFICES YOU HAVE MADE. YOUR DEDICATION IS IMMENSE.

Thank you to everyone at Walmer House for the love and support you gave our father during his stay with you. All the staff were so helpful and understanding.
Hi Sam,
I just wanted to send a message to thank you and all of your staff for the wonderful care you gave Dad. He loved being with you and I had peace of mind that he was being cared for by lovely people. I can’t thank you enough for setting up the family room for us during the last few days that we had with Dad. With all that is happening at the moment it restored our faith in human kindness. I will never forget what you did for us. Please thank everyone for me.
Hi Sam, Kirsty, Liz and all the Care staff,
Having just shared in a Minute Silence to remember the NHS staff and Carers who have been lost to Covid-19; and also as part of the weekly ‘Clap for Carers’, I was also particularly thinking of all the wonderful care you continue to provide at Walmer House especially through these difficult times.I just want to say a huge thank you to you all and to express how grateful and thankful we are for all you do and the care you provide for Mum and of course all the other residents at Walmer House.
Thanks so much, you are greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your loving care of my Aunt, for heading such a hardworking, caring team and re-assuring the family that she was in the right place. The way she responded to each of you when I was there showed exactly how she had been treated. Her smile when any help was given, her cheek or laugh when being teased, the way she spoke about you, especially a comment overheard by me … ‘I love you’ – that said it all.
To All the Staff at Walmer House,
What can I say about you all? You are truly a wonderful bunch of people. My Mum was so happy to live at Walmer House. What started off as a 2 week respite turned into almost 4 years! The thing we most loved about Walmer House is the sense of being part of a family. Mum loved the conversations, the company, the laughter, her room, the food and the care. “Thank you” is hardly enough!
From the bottom of my heart I shout it – THANK YOU!
Working at Walmer House there is a very friendly atmosphere. Before I worked here, I was a constant visitor to a family friend and was always given a lovely welcome, and offered refreshments. Over the 6 years I have worked here, I really feel that the atmosphere has remained welcoming and caring.
