Cressingham House News – Christmas Fair, Lunch and Outing

16th January 2020 by Keychange

Oomph! visit to a candle factory

In December we held our Christmas Fair. The staff brought in donations for the raffle prizes and bric-a-brac and we ended up with some fantastic prizes. I got in touch with local businesses too, such as restaurants and the bowling alley and they were happy to help. It was lovely to see everyone coming together to make it a special day for the residents and all involved. The Manager’s daughter made her famous mince pie crumble and a few of the residents’ families also baked treats to be given to guests upon arrival with refreshments. The staff got dressed up for the occasion in bright Christmas outfits.

The residents were also invited to a Christmas lunch at the local church. This was a lovely day out and staff volunteered to come in and help on their days off to assist the residents.
They also went on an outing with Oomph! to the candle factory, where they made their own candles. This was also thoroughly enjoyed.
