On 8th January, The South West Lindy Hoppers visited. They show us their moves, but encourage residents and staff to join in and learn the dances.
Sheelagh, a resident at Rose Lawn is particularly good at picking up the routine and has amazing rhythm. A video of Sheelagh and Derek from Lindy Hoppers was put on our Facebook page to show what fun we have. So far this video has been viewed 1,400 times, and has 11 shares! Sheelagh said of her fame “It’s incredible, WOW!”. One comment from a viewer summed up one of our philosophies at Rose Lawn – “The Power of Music and Dancing – Never let either leave your life.”
