We are very lucky in Sidmouth to have a variety of fabulous cafes and restaurants on our door step. We are having fun exploring these on our outings. We recently tried fish and chips and we were not disappointed! Mary was very pleased when her plate came and even more pleased when she finished it. We are certainly looking forward to going back.
Our monthly visit from Grace the dog is always a joy. We were also joined by Jack, who is the creator of Bale’s Buddy Therapy Dogs. He said that he had never seen Grace with such a waggy tail whilst in her work vest and that she clearly must enjoy coming to visit us. We look forward to seeing you next month, Grace!
The wonderful Mawgan Stott came to help us sing away the cold weather this month. Abba was a very popular request, with some of us getting up to show off our dancing feet.
You are never too old to learn a new skill, and that was the idea behind this next activity. In celebration of National Chopstick Day, we learnt how to use chopsticks using uncooked pasta and grains of rice. We also learnt that to use chopsticks, takes over 50 different muscles and joints. What a work out!
We enjoyed a word game exercise suggested to us by one of our lovely care team, Shalom. This game involved taking the first letter of your name, and thinking of a country, animal, piece of clothing and so on. It was fun to use our brains in this unusual but interesting activity.
