The Mayor of Merton, Mayor Sally Kenny, presented us with a certificate thanking us for all the hard work we put in during the pandemic. We are really thankful to receive the special recognition and feel very proud. But what makes us really smile and even more proud is that the people who live here are proud of us too.
Faith is very important to the people living here and they love to choose the hymns and readings for our themed services ‘Praise Prayer and Togetherness.’ We also continue to enjoy Deb’s ‘Prayers and Hymns’ every week and the special monthly service Emmanuel Church streams for us.
The people who live here continue to enjoy visits. Trish was delighted when her husband came to see her – she was smiling from ear to ear. Prudence’s Vicar made her day when she came and performed an Easter service with her.
