Alexander House News – Life at Alexander House

8th December 2020 by Keychange

Cutting It Fine – The hairdresser’s visits are much appreciated.  Wearing full PPE, she makes all our ladies feel their best.

“Now don’t you go taking pictures of me!”

All Things Bright and Beautiful Day – This year on 30th October we celebrated all things light for Halloween, joining with other Keychange communities.  Many of the residents wanted to dress up in their previous work clothes.  Antonio was particularly happy reliving the days he worked in The House of Lords.  We sang hymns, laughed about old times and ate candy.  We couldn’t resist carving up a pumpkin or two as well.

Music Makes the World Go Round – Music and celebratory worship play a big part of life at Alexander House. We still have the amazing Debs with her church service over the Ipad every Friday, which the people living here look forward to. We also have our own services, as well as Keychange’s ‘Praise, Prayer and Togetherness’ where the residents choose readings to read and hymns to sing as we connect with other Keychange homes. Emmanuel Church in Wimbledon continues to provide us with an outstanding monthly service which we all love and are very grateful for. We also play instruments which helps us with our rhythmic flow and bursting positive energy.
