Proudly not for profit
Alexander House had originally been built as a family home in the early 20th century. The care home was founded following a donation to the National Free Church Women’s Council in the 1940s and named Alexander House in honour of Lady Alexander, a past Council president. We’re proud to continue serving our community today as part of Keychange, a Christian charity.
Creating caring communities is key to our identity. We care because that’s what we feel called to do, with every penny made going back into providing excellent care that’s as affordable as possible.
My mother has recently become a resident at this excellent facility. The accommodation is of an extremely high standard. The facilities are modern and of a high specification which made my mother extremely comfortable. Her personal highlights are the catering. The menu on offer is extensive and healthy. The day trips and other activities are excellently planned and thought out. Would highly recommend it. – Son of resident, June 2023
