A call was received from a community specialist nurse in Worthing who visited Rosemary Mount. She wanted to ring to pass on her very positive experience of being at Rosemary Mount. She visits many care homes but said this one was “strikingly different” and “really lovely”. She said the staff were “incredibly helpful”. She also spoke with someone living at Rosemary Mount who said they knew as soon as they arrived at the front door that this was their “new home”.
You are all part of an amazing team and I hope you all realise how invaluable you are and what a difference you make to people’s lives by doing what you do. Many thanks again.
Dear All
As a family we would like to pass on our huge debt of gratitude to you all for everything you have done for Mum over really the past decade. We thank you for your true dedication, love, care and commitment throughout, and the welcome you always gave us as a family.
To Everyone at Rosemary Mount,
Following the passing of my Dad, I would like to say a huge thank you for the care and love you gave my Dad over the last 18 months. I know Dad appreciated all your help and you made his time with you as happy and comfortable as possible, even during a world pandemic!
Words cannot express how grateful I am for your upbeat attitude, your caring nature, your professionalism and for making me feel part of your home when I visited Dad. You made the last few days easier for me to deal with as I knew Dad was in the best hands and had everything he needed, that made such a difference.
Dear Denise
I just wanted to put in writing my sincere gratitude for all you and your fabulous staff have been doing so valiantly and professionally during this prolonged lockdown …..
Thank you too for allowing families to visit residents in the garden. I was so pleased, yet unsurprised, to find Mum so well and in good spirits after weeks of not seeing her. This is entirely down to the caring devotion of you and your staff. In the years to come, I will never forget what you have accomplished for Mum and the other lucky residents of Rosemary Mount.
Good morning Denise & Sam,
I just wanted to say that I have nothing but thanks and admiration for you and all your staff at this incredibly difficult time. To maintain your high level of care and support to all residents whilst keeping everyone’s spirits high whilst you must have your own concerns is just amazing.
Thank you for the continued kindness and care shown to my Mum at this difficult time … It’s so reassuring to know that she is being cared for by such lovely people.
There is so much talk in the media at the moment about care homes and corona virus and it’s such a big concern, but I know you are all doing your very best and I am so thankful to you all.
Please pass on my thanks and best wishes to all your amazing staff.
Our Mother … came to Rosemary Mount … for respite – we were all concerned as she had had a negative previous experience of respite in another care home. She however found a new home, a new lease of life and new friends to enjoy and interact with … We were thrilled that at the end of her respite period she agreed that Rosemary Mount was the place for her. She was rejuvenated – we ‘had our Mum back’ as she was really settled and happy.
Dear Denise,
When Dad first came to you … we, that is both he and us, were sad and frightened; sad about his illness and what was happening to him, and frightened about what life would be like in a care home. We did not need to be frightened. The care he received from you and your team, filled with love, affection and respect, immediately put our minds at rest and we knew that he was in the right place …It never felt like anything you did for Dad was too much trouble for your team … Throughout this you were there for us too; when we needed someone to talk to, someone to have a cup of tea with, or even someone to cry to. I can’t tell you how much I value your support …
The care you gave and the kindness you showed, not just to Dad but to all of us, will remain with us forever. I saw a level of humanity that I had not seen anywhere before, one far removed from the constant interruption and short attention span of the modern world. We want you and all your staff to know just how much the things they do matter. The big things and the little things … I can only hope that we can all find a Rosemary Mount to care for us in our final days … thank you from the very bottom of our hearts.
My Mother moved to Rosemary Mount when her previous home closed … Initially, we were upset that she had to be moved but soon found Rosemary Mount to be far superior to the previous home in every way. The home is very bright, clean, tidy and well-run. Mum has a number of challenges including being registered blind, and the staff …treat her in a friendly and compassionate way … It is appreciated that staff are also particularly welcoming to my Father who likes to spend a fair amount of time with her. We consider ourselves fortunate to have found such a lovely “home from home” for Mum.
