Rosemary Mount Resident

People will forget what you said,

People will forget what you did,

But people will never forget,

How you made them feel.

– Quoted in a thank you card, Spring 2020

Good morning Denise & Sam,

I just wanted to say that I have nothing but thanks and admiration for you and all your staff at this incredibly difficult time.  To maintain your high level of care and support to all residents whilst keeping everyone’s spirits high whilst you must have your own concerns is just amazing.

Thank you for the continued kindness and care shown to my Mum at this difficult time …  It’s so reassuring to know that she is being cared for by such lovely people.

There is so much talk in the media at the moment about care homes and corona virus and it’s such a big concern, but I know you are all doing your very best and I am so thankful to you all.

Please pass on my thanks and best wishes to all your amazing staff.

Dear Denise
I just wanted to put in writing my sincere gratitude for all you and your fabulous staff have been doing so valiantly and professionally during this prolonged lockdown …..

Thank you too for allowing families to visit residents in the garden. I was so pleased, yet unsurprised, to find Mum so well and in good spirits after weeks of not seeing her. This is entirely down to the caring devotion of you and your staff. In the years to come, I will never forget what you have accomplished for Mum and the other lucky residents of Rosemary Mount.

Finally I have got around to writing to say how pleased I and my family have been with the care my Mother received … When she first went to Rosemary Mount, she was immobile; previous health care professionals had told me they were unable to get her mobile again following a fall … Within weeks the staff had got her standing, transferring and walking with a Zimmer frame from her room to the dining room and lounge …

As time went on, Mum … needed nursing care. We fully understood … although we were sad and disappointed by this. (As) she was due to make the move to a nursing home … her health began to deteriorate rapidly … The management at Rosemary Mount … told us that under the circumstances she would be remaining in their care … All the staff, carers, management, domestics, kitchen staff and admin looked after us and showed so much kindness to us and Mum through this difficult time … I am thankful and grateful that Mum saw her days out in a familiar setting with staff she knew and loved.

I would fully recommend Rosemary Mount for anyone requiring care.

Our Mother … came to Rosemary Mount … for respite – we were all concerned as she had had a negative previous experience of respite in another care home. She however found a new home, a new lease of life and new friends to enjoy and interact with … We were thrilled that at the end of her respite period she agreed that Rosemary Mount was the place for her. She was rejuvenated – we ‘had our Mum back’ as she was really settled and happy.

We feel that the love, care and attention my Mother received throughout her stay at Rosemary Mount was truly outstanding and the support we were given through such a difficult time was memorable and could not have been improved upon in any way. We will always be thankful for finding and selecting this home with Mum and will thoroughly recommend it to anyone seeking a real home from home for their loved one.

Dear Denise,
When Dad first came to you … we, that is both he and us, were sad and frightened; sad about his illness and what was happening to him, and frightened about what life would be like in a care home. We did not need to be frightened. The care he received from you and your team, filled with love, affection and respect, immediately put our minds at rest and we knew that he was in the right place …

It never felt like anything you did for Dad was too much trouble for your team … Throughout this you were there for us too; when we needed someone to talk to, someone to have a cup of tea with, or even someone to cry to. I can’t tell you how much I value your support …

The care you gave and the kindness you showed, not just to Dad but to all of us, will remain with us forever. I saw a level of humanity that I had not seen anywhere before, one far removed from the constant interruption and short attention span of the modern world. We want you and all your staff to know just how much the things they do matter. The big things and the little things … I can only hope that we can all find a Rosemary Mount to care for us in our final days … thank you from the very bottom of our hearts.

My Mother moved to Rosemary Mount when her previous home closed … Initially, we were upset that she had to be moved but soon found Rosemary Mount to be far superior to the previous home in every way. The home is very bright, clean, tidy and well-run. Mum has a number of challenges including being registered blind, and the staff …treat her in a friendly and compassionate way … It is appreciated that staff are also particularly welcoming to my Father who likes to spend a fair amount of time with her. We consider ourselves fortunate to have found such a lovely “home from home” for Mum.

Mum has blossomed since living at Rosemary Mount; she is very happy and relaxed. Every time I visit, I always find all the staff super friendly and very attentive to all the residents and visitors. There is a positive and calm feel at all times. I’ve never failed to be offered a cup of tea with Mum. Her room and en-suite are always clean. The staff help Mum to be the best she can. Thank you; it’s very reassuring knowing how well she is cared for.
